Nolee & Rohan’s nature-inspired celebration bloomed with a palette of bright pastel greens, blues, pinks, and oranges. Nestled in the expanse of a regional park in Berkeley, California, the Brazilian Room was the perfect balance of an indoor and outdoor venue.
After 12 years together, these high school sweethearts exchanged vows surrounded by whimsical florals at their dreamy garden party wedding. Their photographer, Elizabeth Warrick, captured these magical moments so beautifully.
Nolee’s dress, similarly to the rest of the wedding, was inspired by spring. It was a whimsical Anthropology a-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and blush lining. The skirt was embroidered with subtle floral patterns which gave the illusion of falling petals.
Rohan had a Hall Madden tailored-fit blue suit that complemented their color scheme well. As an accent color, they added burnt orange buttons, and they kept the vest, button-up, and tie monochrome.
The enchanting floral arrangements by Seva Design left a lasting impression. The floral arch, bouquets, centerpieces, and aisle arrangements were adorned with peach lilies and delicate roses in soft hues of orange, pink, and white.
At this picturesque location, the outdoor space unfolded with an open field and a spacious patio, perfect for the ceremony and cocktail hour. As guests stepped indoors, they were greeted by rustic cabin charm, accentuated by the soft glow of natural light pouring in through the big windows, setting the scene for a truly memorable experience.
The reception hall bloomed with an abundance of flowers, and each table featured beautiful centerpieces accented with vibrant kumquats, adding a lovely charm to the decor. The bold blue-tinted glassware perfectly complemented the theme, adding a pop of color to the entire setting.
Nolee & Rohan’s day was sprinkled with personal touches. Each table had a number with a quote by their favorite celebrity chef that read, "You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together.” They filled each party favor with some of their favorite things. From Etsy, they ordered mini personalized coffee bags that said "Love is Brewing" with a coffee cup icon next to it. Each bag had chocolate-covered espresso beans, instant coffee, Hi-Chews, tamarind candy, coffee candy, and stickers of their dogs, Ailee and Cocoa.
Their gorgeous cake by Pastry Atelier PQ was adorned with florals and perfectly complimented their decor.
Their first dance was to "Cherry Wine" by Grant Perez, a song that they have loved since they heard it. They made sure to have a bunch of Earth Wind & Fire songs during the dance. “We really wanted a nostalgic party vibe for the dancing.” Nolee said, “These were all songs that Rohan and I sang together on road trips.”
Nolee & Rohan’s fairy-like garden party wedding was incandescent, delicate, and endearing. The day was full of beautiful blossoms and celebrations that they’ll remember forever!
